WIR: 11/5

So, it’s been a bit since I last posted. There has been both joy and pain during that time. We have much to be thankful for:

You may have heard of a little thing called the Northern Lights. We spent that night mesmerized by the colors. See the Northern Lights, Bucket List achieved.

We are experiencing an incredible Indian Summer. Just beautiful weather. Although with the recent time change, it now means get out before the 5pm darkness. Really people, do we need cold and dark at 5… I think not.

Our beloved Dodgers won the World Series. Thanks in part to that guy and his Grand Slam. Freddie will always be a favorite. Pretty cool that Z gets to use the same technology that a World Series pitcher uses.

Speaking of pitching, this guy had himself a game with a very sore neck. He struck out 10 in a 1-0 victory. It was a pitching duel but this kid was up for the challenge. Pretty fun to watch other coaches realize his greatness. And a 75 mph fastball and wicked curve ball were cool to watch.

We ended up with the Chip the next game in a blow out. Equally cool is the number of people who came up to congratulate Z.

And finally, Z finished his first quarter at school. We just got the weighted GPA…a 4.0. There’s been some bumps along the way but we’ll take it. 5 As, 1 B+ and 1 B. On to quarter 2 and the combined semester end.
