It’s been a fast summer so far for us. We kicked it off with a Disney Cruise on the Fantasy in June. Thank you to the grandparents for bringing the entire family together for this fabulous outing.
There was eating by the boy. This meal in particular almost did him in, but he managed to finish it. There was snorkeling in Tortola where we saw caves with long ago hidden treasure, which formed the basis of the book Treasure Island.
We also snorkeled in St.Thomas with Don and Chris. Sorry no pics from that day but it was hot and fun….and we saw lots of turtles.
We then headed over to the Disney Island of Castaway Cay. The boy and daddy paddle boarded. One was more natural from the get go. The other got pretty darn good at it by the end.
But the big news of the day was mommy, Zach and Abbey parasailing all together at once. I must admit that nerves were there but I pushed past them. And it was well worth it with the beautiful sights high above and crystal clear water below.
There was pirate night. A Pirate Life for Me
We had the best server. He was so generous with Zachary. And kept us all entertained. Not to mention served world class food.
Even with all of that fun, the best part for me was sitting on the verandas with the family. We were lucky to have several rooms in a row. It was a blessing to sit out and talk with different family members, an opportunity to share special this moment together…all under the peaceful sound of lapping waves, beautiful blue water, incredible sunsets and dark, dark nights.
