First, I want to start by wishing this beautiful lady Happy 96th Birthday. She really is such a lovely and special person. Sharp as a tack, mobile and just keeps pushing forward. I say all the time that her genes need to be studied. She truly is a remarkable person, in all aspects of life and we are so very blessed.

In other news, this guy has started to take up (again) the game that his mom loves. The last two winters, Zachary didn’t play. But after the Auk baseball coach asked if he balled out, in reference to basketball, there is a renewed interest. So much so that we went down to watch a basketball game. I’m pretty convinced that he could have a shot (see what I did here) of making the Freshman team next year. Time will tell if he pursues it but for now it’s just nice to hear the sound of basketball outside on the driveway. And yes, he can now dunk at the lowest basket setting which might have something to do with it.

Flash back to many moons ago when this guy (by far the youngest in his group) won first place in weapons. That bow may have been much longer than him..but the boy swung it around super fast and with precision.

And finally, the boy continues his baseball prep for the season. Last week, he pitched close to 75 mph. This week, he had a hitting exit velocity of 83 on Hittrax. He’s also now really close to 5’8….which makes him dangerously close to passing daddy in height, lol.
