This morning, Zachary took his first entrance exam at Salesianum. We woke up early and headed down for the 8:30 start. The exam took over three hours with a 15 minute essay at the end. Parents spent the first hour listening to the principal talk and field questions. Pretty cool experience. It’s a great combination of academics and sports. The school has plans to build a new varsity baseball stadium. Most importantly, Z seemed pretty comfortable at the school.

With the weather just gorgeous, the boy wanted to fish. Off we went to the local lake. Temps were close to 80 so we enjoyed time outdoors amongst the colorful fall trees.

Tonight, he has his team Halloween party. The boys will run around while the parents stand around and talk. The best news, Z’s good buddy had decided to come back to the team. And we picked up a big pitcher which should help. It’s a close knit group which makes me happy. Tomorrow, we head up to the Prep for their Middle School Show Case. It’s a great opportunity to meet the coaches and team.
