WIR: October 21

So today is mom’s birthday. It’s been a day lounging on the couch fighting a cold. Tonight, the boy plays a night game. It’s pretty cold and windy. I’m opting to stay in doors while daddy takes one for the team.

Last weekend, we headed to Chicago for the USC-ND game. We had a blast. Started our day on Friday walking to the Bean, that was closed for construction. Oh well no mirror picture for us. It was still pretty cool seeing the incredible architecture of Chicago.

Next we headed to the Pep Rally at Navy Pier. Cold rain descended on us but that didn’t stop the fun.

Someone also got their picture with Song Girls. At the Philly airport, we actually ran into a mom of one of the girls.

We had an amazing dinner at Joe’s Seafood for Michael’s 50th birthday.

On Saturday, we headed to South Bend. It’s always fun to be around Z dog and Bellagio who kept us entertained.

Also pretty cool to experience with my dad and Pop Pop

We didn’t get the win and it was a late night returning to Chicago, but I think we successfully enjoyed the rivalry. It was special and really cool to experience with this group of people.
