Fall Break

The boy and I headed to LA for his fall break. What should have been a six hour flight, quickly escalated to 8 hours after two flight delays. Long day, but we made it safely.

First up, the indoctrination to SC football. It was a late game and doubly late with the time zone, but the boy mustered through it.

Did I mention that the boy also had his first taste on In and Out Burgers. After downing two burgers, he gave a thumbs up.

The boy got a surprise of a lifetime on Sunday…a tour of Dodgers Stadium. Needless to say but he didn’t stop smiling.

On Monday, we headed to Paramount Studious in the rain. Almost immediately, we drove by Colin Farrel. No other stars, but it was still a fun day. And we did get to hold a real Oscar.

Tuesday was a stay at home day as sunny California was inundated with heavy rain. We did hit up a SC basketball season opener…where they got destroyed by Florida Gulf Coast…thankfully, football is on the rebound. And we were told that we made the PAC 12 media coverage.

But alas, the rain broke and the sun returned on Wednesday. So, off to Universal we went. Two major studios in one week. He preferred Universal with their animated rides. Can you guess which ride he liked the best? And yes, the lady collecting tickets recognized us.

Thursday is a quieter day again. We went to the La Brea Tar Pits, which the boy was not amused. So to make it up, we hit up another first IHOP. Tonight, we are headed to the Grove for dinner. And Friday, yet another SC game. Quickly followed by an early Saturday flight.

Ladies, the boy has the movie star looks of LA but he tells me that he’s ready to head home. It’s been a fun mom and son trip, but we do miss daddy and the pups. Until next time and Fight On!
