This weekend is Easter, a time of rebirth and hope for tomorrow. We’ve been busy in the gardens the last few days as dormant flowers come back to life. And the birds, the wonderful birds are once again singing their beautiful melodies. This little blue bird made his first appearance last night. A magical time
Speaking of magic, just like that, Zachary had his first dance. Neon themed and the boys rocked it. Inquiring minds wanted to know whether there was dancing…and we were quickly told NO. Too bad because the boy does have great dance moves.
Zachary had his first real injury scare. On a Monday night practice, he felt something in his elbow and later ran into the fence trying to field a home run ball. We shut him down that week, but the pain persisted. This week, we visited a local doctor who was for lack of a better word was a complete prick. He diagnosed a Grade 1 UCl sprain, which seems right. However his bedside manner was less than desired. So we made an appointment for another doctor who daddy has used. The good news, he’s feeling better.
Finally, I really do miss these days. This is a trip that we took together to DC. Daddy joined us for the weekend. It was a time long before Covid and where the boy was easily impressed by the free breakfast at a fancy hotel near the White House.
