Week in Rewind: Feb 18

It was another fast week for us. We started the week with the Rams and Bengals in the Super Bowl, in LA of all places. You know what that means stars everywhere. And my brother landed a golden ticket. He was able to get first row tickets directly behind the Rams bench. Oh the things he saw:

First up the mics of the halftime performers. The first one is Dr. Dre’s. And while the older generation didn’t all appreciate the old school rap, this mom. That’s the music that was hopping while I was in school.

Next up, this guy was in the same row. And when I told Zachary he was floored. The boy loves Clayton Kershaw, LA Dodger pitcher. His Fathead is directly above the boy’s bed:

So when Uncle Michael asked for a photo, he gladly gave one.

This was a great gift for my brother and his wife. It’s been a long patch for them so it was nice to see them having some well deserved fun.

The boy continued his work at the new practice facility. He’s been a busy kid putting in work each day. Ideally he’ll move up to the older kids next session. Until then, he keeps working. Although we did find one sport he needs massive help:

Speaking of sports, this good ole boy needs a hair cut. Mommy thought it was scheduled for this week and messed up. So the boy, while still a lady killer, is a bit of a wild man.

Meanwhile, our older girl got into the action this week. She went in for her annual visit. Within the last few months, there were several times we thought it might be the end. Each time she comes roaring back to life. She’s close to 15 years of age, and still has some serious fight in her.

Finally, Zachary had one of those basketball nights. Just couldn’t get a basketball to fall And there were several times so close, including the game winner. When it left his hands, it looked good, nice arc and strong wrist flip, I thought for sure it was in..until it wasnt. He was a bit upset afterwards, but it happens to all of us. The good news, Pop Pop came to see him play. That always makes it special.
