End of Summer

We’ve had ourselves quiet the summer. In baseball, Zachary was the two time player of the game at Ripken. Quiet a feat in of itself but especially after the season he had. He battled a month long hitting drought, a demotion to outfield and no pitching. But as we always preach, keep grinding and good things happen. So when a key moment came up at Ripken, the boy was battle tested and promptly smacked a pitch into the outfield scoring 2 runs.

Then there was our wonderful trip out west. So much fun and so much beauty to see. Thankfully, we also got to do it with both sets of grandparents. I would go back in a heart beat.

We also did a quick couple of days with these guys. Four boys from the baseball team. These kiddos are a bunch of fun. Great kids who are also pretty darn good baseball players.

We also packed in a Labor Day filled with family. We were so happy to finally do it after the Covid killed it last year. We pretty much did it all: bike rides, ice cream, escape room, Browns, and lots of Manco’s pizza. So much fun.

Oh summer I hate to see you go! But alas, Zachary started school. He is officially a 6th grader. Hard to imagine. Here’s to a happy fall in preparation for the dreaded winter.

And ladies, this guy is still pretty darn cute.
