Yellowstone Lake

This morning we made our way to the lake. But not before running into both Bob and Tommy, blocking traffic. Oh Bob, must you.

After an hour delay, we headed to the lake. It was a rainy, cooler day, but luckily we missed the rain.
The lake did not disappoint and the cloudy skies added a beautiful grey hue to it.

We stopped at the local marina and snapped a few pictures.

Lunch was had right alongside the lake with thousands of mosquitos, thunder but no rain

Next we headed to the Fishing Bridge, but ironically no fishing is allowed. There we also saw another cute lodge that has a great view of the lake. Unfortunate for them, a certain car from New Jersey blocked that view when it made two half hazard passes around it. Mom really needs to work on her photo taking abilities.

We also saw a remake of the old Yellowstone tour bus.

Next up the return trip through Hayden Valley. A couple of days ago, there were hardly any bisons. Today, we hit the motherload. There were thousand of them scattered across the valley and scrambling across the road. We got caught in an hour long delay as rangers scrambled to protect them against the traffic.

What happens when you put a family together in a car all day. You get memorable moments of funny events like this one of us trying to take a selfie with short arms. And it uploaded upside down to make my point. We danced and laughed our way across the park. And we learned Mom loves to use the word “well”, which Zachary taped and then brings out in opportune times. Well.,.

Last night, we also went to the local rodeo. Really fun night. For me, the highlight was this little guy, who must have been 4 or 5.

And Zachary joined the 10 and above kids in an attempt to take a flag off of a running cow. Unfortunately I can’t upload the video but it was fun to watch. He didn’t get the flag but he did prove that Asians can run fast. And my Grandpa would be proud, the clown made them lay on the ground, which Zachary reluctantly did. My poor car will need to be fumigated when we get home.
