Yesterday, the early crew woke up to make our way to the Lamar Valley to see wildlife.
We made a pit stop at Mammoth for the restrooms, where we saw elk milling around. We then headed to Lamar, which did not disappoint. We got to see bison up close and personal. Sun rising in the sky, cool breeze and quiet, you could almost imagine the American Indians hunting, war cries searing across the valley.
We have perfected lunch picnic. Got to see this guy begging for food.
Next up, the Petrified Tree, the lone one.
We then headed into Mammoth, which was packed. We headed to the visitor center, where Zachary was sworn in as a junior ranger.
The early crew’s final stop was Sheepeater Cliff where the boys climbed rocks. The area is named after the Indians who once lived there.
But alas, the later crew saw a mamma bear and her two Cubs at the Petrified Tree. So it was an overall banner day.
