Thanksgiving is this Thursday. It’s definitely going to be different than our typical one. We will miss prepping for the the big dinner, laughter in the house, game time…we play a mean Family Feud, but we know that next year, God willing, we’ll be right back at it.
There is much to be thankful for in our family. We continue to be blessed with wonderful parents, grandparents and a great parent. There was a trip to Ocean City. Baseball games to watch Zachary. We got these in despite Covid.
Our family. We’ve learned to co-exist for real, during Covid. Mike and Zachary upstairs for school and work. Mom and the now four dogs downstairs. We continue to support and watch Zachary grow. And grow he has. He’s now chin height on me. The boys are my rock.
The pups are a blessing to our family. Bella with her crazy eyes and big sister protection. Mattie, the cat of the family and her stubborn independent streak. Reecie, the sweet little girl that keeps up with her brother. And, of course, JuJu bear…the star of the show, in his mind. We may have lost Trojan this year, but we know she’s still with us.
So there is much to be thankful in the year of Covid. We continue to be blessed with these gifts and so many more. Life is precious. We’re happy to celebrate another Thanksgiving…maybe not in person, but still as a tightly knit family.
