Two weekends ago, Zachary’s team finished on top of the mountain with their first tournament win. This is a team that has finished first (twice) in the final day seeding, only to not make it all the way.
But last weekend was different. On a beautiful day, the boys played their hearts out on Sunday and came away the victors. Really proud of them. They all put in so much work.
Zachary seems to shine when the tournament light is on. He batted close to 500. But most importantly, he was having fun. It’s really neat to see how the boys gel between games. Talking, running around and doing boy things.
We’re really happy that we made the transition to this team. A wise parent told me to advocate for your son if feel not getting the best that they deserve. And that is a nut shell is why we moved. He’s back to being old Zachary. Most importantly, he’s growing as a baseball player and human. All is good in the world. And after losing Trojan that Friday, it was a nice ending to a terrible week. As Zachary said, this one is for Trojan!
