Quarantine Birthday

Yesterday, we celebrated Zachary’s birthday, quarantine style. This one definitely presented it’s challenges. Two different shops to find a place that had helium for balloons. Last minutes cancellations. A pop up rain shower that washed away our chalk tribute. But in the end, we made it work.

Thankfully, the rain was short lived. Mr. Softee came and surprised the kids with ice cream treats. That was a big hit. Someone had chocolate all over his face.

This truly was a pre-birthday to remember. We actually came to the drive by to give more spacing for social distancing. Mask, rain, good friends and grandparents…is there a better way to celebrate in 2020! Most importantly, the boy beamed how excited he was to see everyone.
