Quarantine Life

As we move into the three month time period, we continue to stay active. Thankfully, we’ve been blessed with some amazing weather. Zachary has started tennis lessons. And he really likes it. Or as he told his coach, I like it because all I have to do is hit the ball.

He has also started to learn to play the trumpet. Thankfully, we’ve both played in high school…although daddy is by far better than mommy. The goal is to secure a trumpet spot in the fall, we’ve been told it’s a popular instrument. Dah…if you’re going to be in band might as well play the loud instrument…it’s made our house sounds quiet interesting for sure.
Zachary and I are taking an IPhone photo class. We both love it. And he’s quiet natural taking pictures. Here’s one from him
And one from mommy. Funny story here, we cleaned all day and were exhausted, I just wanted an hour to sit on the beach and relax…two minutes after this photo, we got severe weather alerts and then a rain burst. So we packed quickly walked home in the rain and settled in at the house, only to have beautiful blue skies open up.

There have been plenty of dog walks. The girls got a new ride and it is super fun to push. Real wheels, yay.
We’ve done celebratory drive bys for birthdays and graduation. We even celebrated Cameron’s high school graduation with a Zoom meet up. And of course, we did another Zoom meet up to celebrate my parent’s 50th Anniversary. On Mike’s side of the family, we had a nephew have his first child…so the next generation begins.
Finally, we continue to be information seekers. Zachary took a neuroscience class with a girl from the Big Bang Theory. Turns out, she’s a real life neuroscientist. She got her degree from UCLA before pursuing acting. And mommy, finished her Happiness class from Yale. There’s a reason Dr. Santos is one of the most popular classes. She opens up the secrets to a happy life.

As you can see, we’re making the most of our pandemic life. It truly has been a ride. But we keep chugging along with family and friends. Stay well everyone and count those blessings.
