Grocery Adaptation

The one thing we are noticing during this pandemic, is that you have to be flexible in your grocery needs. The first couple of weeks were rough. We first tried curbside pickup at the local grocery store, which was a total fail. Mike then started venturing inside, well before the state law to wear mask. He came home with more groceries that way, but often not with everything that we need.

We then found a local food wholesaler, which has been amazing. They have great fruit and veggies. As time grew, more people found out our little secret. This place is incredible. They have an organized system and have adapted to all of these evolving changes.

The past couple of weeks have been much better. But we still struggle with bread flour, which turns out really makes our homemade pizza perfect. So mommy went out on a quest to find some. Amazon, Target and Walmart, were a non go. And just when we almost had to resort to regular flour, I found it…a local miller, Bucks County, mentioned on Apple News.

Placed our order on Thursday and by Saturday it was here. I doubled down with cornmeal (for muffin), bread flour and steel coat oats, Irish Oatmeal. All of them are so good! Best of all, it’s a local firm.
