Last Friday, we did a quick college tour of Duke and UNC. We started our day at the Duke Gardens, very impressive. It apparently is very good to be a Duke family member.

We then headed over to the Chapel. Really cool to see the early morning sunlight coming through the stained glass windows. And yes, mommy did a quick pray for Urban to SC.

Lets be serious, no trip to Duke would be complete without seeing Duke athletics. And that meant a visit to basketball Mecca, Cameron Indoor.

Those doors may have been locked, darn it, but that didn’t stop us from entering the unlocked practice facility.

After that, we headed over to the baseball field..and as luck would have it, an unlocked gate. (this school really should do a better job of keeping crazy people out of their facilities).

Just as we were wrapping up the visit, a pretty cool thing happened. The Blue Devil mascot went zooming by us and stopped a little way off. As they say, mommy seized the day and went dashing off after him so this could happen…darn crazy visitors! I’m pretty sure they locked the doors after we left.
