Gotcha Day

My how time flies! It seems like a forever since we went to Korea to pick up the little guy. Those were anxious days. The not knowing was tough. How would a 13 month old receive us? What would our lives become? How do we become a family? So many questions with no known answers.

It’s funny. Zachary and I were recently talking about taking chance in life. Putting yourself out there if you will. It’s a hard thing to do. Terrifying most would say. And some, can’t overcome that fear and don’t take the chance.

I argue, that life is made on those chances, even when success is not guaranteed. It’s always best to reach and grow. Set back are challenges to overcome. But wins, are so very, very sweet and open a new world.

That’s where Mike and I found ourselves all of those years ago. A transitional point. Scary, for sure, but at the same time exhilarating. And that is the story of our lives as we navigate through the crazy world of parenting. What a feeling! And blessing.
