Baseball

This spring has been filled with all things baseball.

Last weekend, his travel team played up in the 9u category for the Father’s Day Tournament. Four games in two days. We finished 2-4, losing twice to the same team from Cherry Hill. Zachary took his lumps pitching in the first game. The other pitchers took their lumps in the second match up. The good news, the boys looked like they belonged against the other two teams.
The boys enjoyed their weekend regardless. It’s funny watching them running around between games. They all get along so well..and someone is in the center of the action
In other baseball news, the boy was selected for the East Greenwich Little League All Stars. He made the A team, which is quiet an accomplishment for an 8 year old, playing with 10 year olds. His first game is tonight. Unfortunately, it’s looking like Zachary will mostly be an observer, getting only to bat once a game. That’s the tough part when you are the smallest and youngest on a team of 13 kids. He’s taking it in stride and using it as a learning opportunity.

Either way, we are really, really proud of him.
