Winter

In fact, I really do believe that the artic wind is my calous enemy.  How could it be so cruel!  It’s as if we taunt each other while running.  Me seemingly running in place while 20 mph winds blast me from all directions.  Doesn’t it already know that I’m a slow runner and this is making it much, much worse.  I’m not bitter (ok, I’m really bitter) but my last thought upon entering the house is “go back to Canada, you will not beat me”  And then grudgenly I think, see you tomorrow.

With that said, this  last week saw an array of temperatures.  We got an inch of snow during the week…which left pretty cool prints to run on…and thankfully no wind

The girls made a mid-week return to the shore. It was a balmy 40 degrees that day, but the sun was out.  Note to self, our stairs are damp and icy during the winter.  Not a fun thing to climb with boxes.  But the sun was out and no wind!

And today, we ran when it was 50 degrees, only to watch a nose dive in temperatures into the teens by night fall…which really has me dreaming of that warm Southern California weather.  I will beat you Artic winds, if only by the mighty power of positive thoughts.
