XMAS Rush

Whew, the last few weeks have been daunting.  School, basketball practice, karate black belt test and, of course, the much anticipated arrival of Christmas.

We’ve been nibbling at our Christmas list, slowly but surely.  The boy’s big wish list this year, nerf and video games.  Where did the days of Tonka Ttucks and Race Cars go?   We now have a fully functioning boy who wants a phone, awe…no.

Mommy is thankful that most gifts can be bought online, holler.  No more, fighting the mall traffic and gift cards are a god send.  But it does get you wondering.  Have we lost the true meaning of Christmas.  That rush to get the perfect gift, adds a lot of stress.  So for this mommy, I’m going retro.  Happy to be with my family and appreciative of the life I’ve been giving.  And eagerly watching the boy’s love for everything Christmas.
