Last Hooray

Last weekend, we were in Ocean City.  The Boardwalk was a lot less crowded and the wind howled a little louder, but it was still very nice there.

The boy helped daddy paint the upper deck

And we took the pups out for an early morning walk on the beach.  Trojan ran around like her old self and Bella made a dash to the water’s edge

As for Mattie, after about 10 minutes we made the fateful decision to give her a chance off the leash, spread her wings so to speak.  She sat patiently as we took off of the leash (like a little angle) and then, like a bat out of hell, she zoomed off in the opposite direction…we, of course, called for her, but she really wasn’t having any of it.  With that, daddy and the boy took off in hot pursuit.  Thank goodness, a dead sting ray caught her nose and the boys quickly stormed around her.

I really don’t have any pictures or videos of the great escape, but this sweet innocent face has a dare devil side to her.  You could almost hear her screaming, goodbye suckers!

Thankfully, the nose distracted her and we all arrived home safely.
