We are four weeks into 3rd Grade.  I’m just gonna say, so far it is no joke. There have been multiple weekly tests and quizzes.

This week on the agenda:  social studies chapter test on Tuesday, reading test and spelling quiz on Thursday, and regular homework each night.  We haven’t started the monthly book reports…and let’s not forget the 15-20 minutes of reading per night

Someone has not been happy with all of the work, made tougher by his active after school life.  So, mommy had to go rogue.  Thank goodness, the boy is a morning person.  We accomplish reading and spelling in the morning…and night time, everything else.  It seems to ease some of the night time anger that way.

We were told during open house that this is a transitional year and prepare for struggle as they adjust to course workload.  We’ll just have to grind through it and somehow make it fun.  On to week four
