Pre Wedding Fun

Last weekend, we headed to Fontana Dam, North Carolina for our nephew’s wedding.

I’m not gonna lie, I was dreading the long ride, 12 hours because of the boy.  He’s usually a man in motion. But I have to say, he was awesome.  We broke up the trip with a stop in Asheville.  As we approached Fontana, it occurred to me that the mountain roads are no joke.  Thankfully, we made it in one piece and crashed for the night.

The next day, we made a trip to Cherokee for shopping and ice cream.  Ladies, don’t let your boys grow up to be cowboys

We did a small hike in the Great Smokey Mountains.  Mommy prayed that no one got poison ivy with each pass of it.  Luckily no one did.

Did I mention the hills!   Steep ones that work the muscles to the bone

There was a bon fire with everyone going to the wedding.  The boys did a great job making s’mores.  We enjoyed seeing everyone while the kids ran around like wild ones.

It was a fun couple of days filled with family
