Spring Break

This week, we went down to the Nation’s Capitol for Spring Break.  It was a quick two day turnaround, but with the promise of a beautiful day, we went for it

Daddy dropped us off at the train station and someone was super excited.   And then became bored with the long ride to DC.  Thank goodness, he fell asleep

First up was the Smithsonian Castle, something mommy has never been.

We then did a running tour of the Air and Space Museum.  The boy does not stop moving

We then then walked the Mall, starting with the Washington Monument, which is still under construction

This was quickly followed by a long sit at the WW II monument to rest and reflect

We then made our way to the Lincoln, which was packed.  The sun finally peaking through the clouds

And there was the Korean War memorial

As we made our way back on the reflection pool, we both started to hit our wall

We spent a long time chilling on the Mall watching a group play frisbee and playing I Spy.   We ended the day at the American History Museum and 77 degree weather. Spring in DC is pure awesomeness, especially with my pup…who fell fast asleep by 8:30, not long after snapping this picture.
