Winter Olympics

Last night we watched the opening ceremony from South Korea.  And the boy was super proud.

Funny facts, he already knew that it snowed in Korea…mommy, that’s why I’m not cold when it’s freezing out.  Truly, this must be the case as the boy never wears socks  even during those harsh winter nights.

And when the Korean flag was raised…he mentioned the meaning of the flag before the announcers.  Mommy, everyone knows it means complimentary but opposing forces. Indeed

Interviewing Lindsay Voghn, and the boy casually said, mommy  maybe I’ll become a downhill skier…are you out of your mind!  Boy become a pike jumper like Cloe Kim, a Korean born American

Okay, that looks like pretty scary stuff too…how bout becoming an ice skater.  Ladies, the boy would look pretty amazing in one of those flamboyant outfits

As for those mountains, just ask daddy   After laboring up the high point in Seoul(and really I’m not even sure it quailifed as s mountain) we were exhausted.  Luckily, daddy saw the “Best Burger in Seoul” or he might have rickshawed down that mountain like the Jamaican bobsledding team…Zachary laughed at that one

Some day, we’ll take Zachary back to his birth place and he’ll get to experience his native culture in real life.  Until then, the boy’s imagination pilots his dreams.  It truly is a magical place to us
