Notre Dame

The next morning, mommy got up and ran on Lakeshore Drive.  I had heard that Chicago was a big time runner city…and boy is it.  7 am and the drive was packed.  I’m a little mad at myself.  I was so close to running to the Bears stadium..but didn’t realize it was just around the corner, so I turned back…but not before accidently joining a Halloween race..if only I had a costume…I’m pretty sure smelly runner was already taken

We then made the hour plus drive to South Bend.  It literally is in the middle of nowhere.  Notice no jackets in late October, does it get any better.

Beautiful campus.  We saw Touchdown Jesus and the Grotto.

So much tradition between the schools.  And they really are nice people…we were like lambs being taken to slaughter with all of our injuries..so it was an ugly loss..but we’ll get them next year in LA (and hopefully with healthy lines.

One of the great benefits of a school like SC are these types of trips.  Awesome life experiences.  I hope so much that Zachary gets to enjoy these one day, at whatever school he chooses (not named UCLA)

Its always a great day to be a Trojan. (Our legally blind long snapper, Fight On). So not the outcome we wanted but a pretty special birthday weekend, one that I won’t soon forget spent with family.  #blessed
