Mother’s Day

I was blessed to have been raised by an amazing mother. And I doubled down on the greatness with my husband’s mom and grandmother. Strong, beautiful ladies that took on the role of motherhood and conquered it..but not just conquered it, excelled at it.

I am now lucky enough to be a mother myself.  And as he gets older, the more and more I enjoy it.  He came home yesterday from school, Mother’s Day gift in tow. Excitedly he ran upstairs to hide it. He can barely contain himself to not give it before my big day…and this morning as we walked to the bus he said mommy, on Sunday you’ll have to wait upstairs why we make your breakfast.  This made my heart burst with joy. Watching his happiness in celebrating my day, that’s special.

To all of the ladies out there who are mothers, Happy Mother’s Day.

And if you have not listened to Mike Rowe and his stories with his mom, enjoy.  This one put a smile on my face..I think we can all relate
