Last night, we took a Twiglight Tour of D.C. The Distric at night is magical. The only uncool thing was the wind. It got pretty chilly up above, but well worth it for the views. Mommy loved it for the history
Today, we started our last day early. The boy was awake at 6 am. After a quick breakfast at the Marriott, we walked to Capitol Hill. We missed our tour yesterday, but picked up a new one this morning. After 911, you can no longer see the Rotunda without a tour. So we jumped on one and made the rounds
Afterward, daddy and the boy did their best Slicky Ricky impersonations
We then made a mad rush to the American Indian Museum. In a blur, we toured it because someone was hungry. The good news is the boy tried a Bison burger and liked it. He’s a difficult one to convince to try new stuff so this was quiet unexpected
Our last stop was the National Archives. I really wanted to show him the Declaration…but the line inside was unreal so we opted out. Me thinks DC will be hopping this weekend. Thank goodness, we are headed home….and to the chaos of the pups.
So glad we did this trip to DC. I love watching his mind discover new things…and it’s pretty cool seeing life through the lens of a child.
