Cedar Point

The boy feels the need for speed.  Last week, we visited Cedar Point.  Let’s just say the boy is no longer into the kiddie rides. His first big boy ride was the Iron Dragon.  He jumped right on it with his cousin.  And came off laughing with joy.

He followed that up with the Mean Streak. Yeah, mommy and daddy wouldn’t even get on that one.  But there he was running to the line.  He even wanted to do the Magnum, but was tagged for being too short.

It was at that point that I knew I had to step up my game.  Yeah, the fair type rides are fun..but I was persuaded to do the Gatekeeper .  Now, there is s decent drop (which I hate), but it loops around so it wasn’t too bad.  Don’t get me wrong, I was about to hyperventilate when riding up the hill…but I got through with my nephew, who kept giving words of encouragement.  After that first ride, I was hooked on it.  Just my level…I’ll leave the Dragster to Cameron!

Check out the little guy on the Mean Streak.  There in the middle and you can barely see his bouncing black hair.

We then came home to celebrate my dad’s birthday.  Pizza and birthday cake is there any better way to celebrate.  Happy Birthday to an amazing dad
