Meanwhile back at the farm….
the little guy celebrated the school’s spring festival. Lots and lots of jumping. Maybe I’m raising a kangaroo.
Daddy placed 3rd in the Riverwinds Bike/Run. And yes, it was freezing that day. And no, mommy didn’t do because still fighting my shin bruise…6 weeks and counting…who knew banging your shin on the bed could do so much damage.
The little guy had his kindergarten testing. One look on his face and you could see the apprehension. But as always, once there..he stole the show. After his testing, he proudly burst through the doors and said, mommy, I counted to 20…to which, the entire room of parents clapped…but the best part was the ride home. I asked how he did…his response was priceless. “They told me I did great. And (wait for it) ……at every station I told them hello in French.” Interesting. Not Korean? Not English? French, really!!! And where you might ask did he hear the French word for hello….the Princess Holli cartoon of course. Which, I must admit, is a bit concerning because the characters speak with an English accent. Imagine this, first day of school. Korean boy, English accent, saying Bonjour. We’re going to rock that teachers world.
