Day 2: Ancient Rome

Wow, simply unreal. After a not so restful night, we got up early, grabbed breakfast and then headed to the Coli. There we ran into a tour and joined it. The place is surreal. Built in 8 years, it’s one of those things that makes you go hmmm…It truly is a marvel.

And then just when you think you saw the best of ancient Rome, you head to the Roman Forum and Palentine Hill. Which again, makes you go hmmm. How did they do it. The ruins are amazing. Then you see Julius Ceasar’s tomb. That’s when it hits you…all of those history lessons in school come to life. I knew I should have paid more attention.
