Fun at the Park

The last full day at home is always bitter sweet. That’s why we decided to make the most of it. After bidding his best bubba goodbye, we headed to the park. The working fort was a huge hit for the little guy. I seriously lost count how many times he went down the slides. Mama, however, appreciated the throw back horses fom when she was a little girl (funny but I don’t remember having difficulties getting on and off them when I was a kid). We then headed over to the new bridge to look for fish (someone was enthralled with finding fish). Unfortunatly, as we told the little guy, they must have been sleeping.

Mama spent many good years as a child at this park. Some of my favorite memories are of playing softball with good friends, all with the loving support of our parents (including a magical run in tournaments that was simply priceless). Yesterday, it was nice to bring some of that magic to the little guy with my mom and dad.
