First Moments Together

Now that we have been home for almost 4 weeks, we wanted to share some of our first moments with you.  You are, indeed, a lovely little boy.  And we are so lucky to have you.

Here are 30 things that we love about you:

1. Your loving and easy going nature.

2. The little smile that appears when you are super happy (with a head nod to make sure that we saw).

3. Your ability to get down to music (especially, the foster family’s book).

4. The way that you rub your feet when you eat–makes me think that you are really enjoying it.

5. The way that you point to the pups when you wake up and say “ma”

6. Your inquisitive nature–you can almost see the wheels in motion.

7. The faces that you make during a full blown cry (so expressive).

8. Your beautiful brown eyes and all the different signs that they show.

9. Your potty stoop–still trying to figure out if it will be #1 or #2.

10. Your willingness to try about anything–this will serve you well in life.  Be a risk taker within bounds

11. The fact that you love being outdoors.  Nature has so much to offer.

12. Your love of the dogs and your attempts at walking them.

13. Your cute stumbling walk.  At times, you look like a drunk sailor about to fall off the ship.

14.  The way that your hair flows while daddy is pushing the jogging stoller.

15. Your wave when seeing one of us.

16. The soundness of your sleep.

17. The splashing that you make while taking a bath.

18. Your “No No Trojan” finger wave.

19. How cute you look in swimming trunks.

20. The gulphing of your sippy cup when it is full of milk.

21. The way you attempt to take your diaper off if we don’t get pants on fast enough…you’re a fast one.

22. Your love of cleaning, especially the vacuum (I’ll say it again–holler!)

23. The way you one hand a ball ball.  Me thinks you’ll be a sports star.

24. How happy you are after a nap.  There are many smiles

25. The way you charge after your toys in a race to figure out which one to play with.

26. The way your head turns back in forth during car rides, trying to take everything in.

27. The way you charm others, especially the relatives.

28. Your ability to brush you teeth and hair.  Did I mention that you also know how to blow your nose?

29. The love that you have shared with both of us.

30. The way that you have made our world complete.
