Love Letters to Our Son: Day 6

Unconditional love: that’s what you are really looking for in life.  We’ve been lucky to have found it with everyone we love in life.  And there is no doubt that both of the pups love us unconditionally as well.  It’s about sacrificing your own wants for the wants of others.  It’s the purest form of love and the one that you should strive for in life.

We promise to love you unconditionally.  And we are already following through with that promise.  Today, we spent the majority of the day running last minute errands and packing our bags.  Your bag is already packed and it’s funny to look at those tiny little shoes and outfits in such a big bag.  Intermingled between your clothes are the gifts for the foster family and holt workers.  Let’s not forgot your pamper bag which is fitted with 2 different pampers sizes (because we are unsure what will fit you) as well as toys and books for the plane ride.  I also managed to get a small ball in there in the hopes that you will develop our love for sports (it doesn’t hurt that your wellness report listed “he likes balls and cars”), both of which are making the trek with us.  And then there is the small homemade pillow and blanket that are from your baby shower, which are safely packed away.  In Korea, you will also be wearing outfits from both of your grandparents.  So while we expect that you will initially grieve, we will overcome with unconditional love.
